At Agape Church, we aspire to serve the total man by having ministries that serve the body of Christ and the community, and encouraging growth in the individuals participating.

On the next few pages you will find descriptions of some of the Ministries here at Agape. There are many more active auxiliaries so please, feel free to inquire about any that you have an interest in. We encourage you to get involved because "without involvement, there is no true commitment.

The Women's Ministry

OurGrandmothers, mother and daughters are faithful supporters of the ministry. We strive for the spirit of excellence. We are strivers for perfection (spiritual maturity) as we press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.

There are several units, bands and auxiliaries operating within the Women's Ministry at Agape Church and include the following:

The Women of Purpose, Power and Prayer meets monthly with programs designed to encourage growth in every area of women's lives and their application of God's Word.

Prayer Warriors are an integral part of every ministry in keeping the natural and spiritual needs of the ministry and the body of Christ lifted up before the Lord.

The Usher Board serves diligently to usher guests and members alike into the presence of the Lord.

The Hospitality Ministry serves many needs within the ministry from serving the members, Pastor & Guest.

Iron Men Brotherhood (IMB)-Men's Department strives to encourage spiritual growth through the following:

*Equipping each man to become the priest that God has called him to be.
*Instruct and direct our young men in becoming mighty men of valor
*Leading by example and follow in submission to God and leadership
*Under-girding our leaders and ministry with prayer, giving, and service

The Marriage Ministry strives to bring God the glory by equipping families with tools for renewing their Biblical understanding and enhancing their life that they may share the love of God abroad. This is enhanced by the many family centered activities planned each year from Marriage Retreats to Bowling, you can be sure that your needs will be met. Experience life-change ministry at the Annual Marriage Retreat.

Single to the Max recognizes that we are complete in Jesus Christ. We can serve wholeheartedly, free from the distractions or divided interests of the world. Through the power and might of the Holy Spirit, we effectively provoke one another to love and good works:

The Youth Department strives to reach children with the good news about Jesus through a variety of teaching tools and exciting activities. The purpose is to:
* Develop and support children, in being all that God has called them to be.
* Develop their spiritual awareness, purpose and love for one another through biblical teachings, prayer and mentoring.
* Channel their fire in the right direction that they may learn and establish a true relationship with God.

Children are integrated through involvement in drama, praise and worship and education. There are several teams at Agape in place to accomplish these goals. Youth are also integrated in the ministry through New Gen Praise and Worship, Little Voices of Praise, Praise Dance and more.

The Young Men of Valor- is a ministry that is geared toward providing young men with life learning skills to prepare them to be an impact in society. The teachings of this ministry are designed to influence the young men in the right direction by giving them Godly information to make them become men of honor for Kingdom purpose.

Y.E.S. - Young Excelling Sisters- is a program designed for girls and women ages 10 and up. We as the body of Christ realize that society is failing our children. More than ever, there are babies having babies. It is time to stop this and, prayerfully, Y.E.S. is our first step to breaking the cycles.

Y.E.S. is designed to educate our young ladies on how to be what God would have them to be. We hope to include hygiene, submitting their bodies as living sacrifices, how to deal with pressure, how to turn the negatives into positives, and setting standards;

The Music Ministry-is an excelling ministry that gives God all the glory through songs of praise combined with musical instruments. The music ministry's goal is to usher the congregation into the presence of God through songs that encourage, motivate and to, prepare their hearts and minds to receive the word of God.
