Why do I need to get Back to the Basics?

In Genesis, the word of God lets us know that when a couple becomes husband and wife they are to become one flesh and be naked before each other without being ashamed. Today’s couple needs to heed this basic
principle and take the time to grow closer to each other in intimacy. Marriages today are under fire in our culture as never before resulting in a staggering number of unsatisfying and struggling marriages. I know, I hear about these marriages nearly every day. Good-willed people who are just drifting apart.

God has a plan to help you build a strong, fulfilling relationship with your spouse. It just takes a solid biblical understanding of marriage, enduring commitment, and some hard work. To achieve this, I invite you to spend this special weekend away with your mate. Daily activities will include large group sessions with words of teaching, humor, and encouragement for both of you. You will attend enlightening sessions together to help you grow deeper in your marriage, and also have ample opportunity to spend quiet time together, reflecting on the retreat’s content.
